Some Meccano sets include extra model ideas intended as inspiration only. For these sets, step-by-step instructions may not be available, as the designs encourage builders to use their own creativity and interpretation when constructing them.

Meccano sets are available through a wide range of retail partners worldwide.

Retired Meccano sets are no longer manufactured or distributed, so availability can be limited. Retailers usually only carry our latest products, and we’re unable to track remaining stock of discontinued items.

You may wish to check with local retailers or reputable online marketplaces, but availability will vary. We hope you’re able to find the set you’re looking for!

We no longer produce or distribute retired items, and spare-part availability for older products is very limited. As a result, we’re not able to provide full support or replacements for discontinued sets.

We recommend exploring the current Meccano range on meccano.com to discover our latest launches.

The larger pieces are compatible, however, the screws and screwdriver from older SpinMaster Meccano Junior sets are not compatible with the Addo Play Meccano Junior range.

Yes, retired Addo Play Meccano Junior sets are compatible with the new Meccano Builders range.

Yes, older Meccano sets are compatible with the current Meccano range.

All Meccano Tech and sets that require batteries were produced by Spin Master. Spin Master have issued following information regarding the Legacy Meccano Robots and Meccano App:

“Please note that the battery packs and chargers for legacy robots have been retired.

As Meccano sets are replaced with newer, more innovative models, continuing production of these components is no longer feasible.

While Meccano focuses on building for the future, we hope you continue to enjoy inventing and creating with Meccano.”

All Meccano Tech was produced by Spin Master. Spin Master have issued following information regarding the Legacy Meccano Robots and Meccano App:

“Please note that updates to all Meccano apps for our legacy robots have been retired, and this decision was not easy.

As Meccano sets are replaced with newer innovative models, the need for an updated app that is compatible with newer operating systems dwindles and is no longer feasible to support.

Additionally, firmware files for legacy robots, including Meccanoid XL 2.0, are no longer available for download or installation. As Meccano focuses on building for the future, we hope that you continue to enjoy inventing with Meccano.”

If any parts are missing from your product, please fill in the contact form below.
Be sure to include the product name and the reference code, which can be found just under the age rating or above the product name on the left-hand side of the product box. You can also find this reference code on the Discover page of our website.

Please also provide the missing part number as shown in the instruction manual, along with the quantity needed. If possible, upload any photos, such as the product box, the parts received, or the instruction sheet, as this helps us process your request quickly and send replacements as soon as possible.

We understand you’re looking for replacement parts for a retired product.

Unfortunately, once a set is no longer in production, we are unable to supply spare parts for it.

While we do our best to maintain availability, we no longer hold stock for retired items and therefore cannot fulfil replacement part requests for these Meccano sets.
