Very Young Children: Age 2+
The Kids Play range was specifically designed for very young children aged 2 and up. It gives children their first opportunity to build their own toys!
At this age, intelligence is based on the senses and motor skills. Because their hands are children’s first tools, Kids Play thought of everything when designing toys that will stimulate their imagination, develop their dexterity, help them apply their creativity, and spark their curiosity.
The parts are made of materials that will keep their shape and can withstand any twisting without breaking. They come in vivid, contrasting colours so as to be easily identifiable. Large nuts and bolts combine fun with safety!
Young Children: Age 5+
Build & Play lets children from the age of 5 and up discover the world of Meccano with a set of parts, nuts, and bolts designed specifically for their age group.
Each box contains a complete set of tools to give children the opportunity to build one or more of the various models or any new toys they wish!
Models are quick and easy to build and assembly and disassembly is easy…and limitless!
To grow and learn in a well-balanced way, children need to play. From the age of 5, children learn through hands-on games, such as construction games, that improve their powers of focus and problem-solving capacities.
Meccano helps them along with this development by providing them with coloured plastic parts, some flexible and some rigid, to build at least a half a dozen simple and fun models with ample room for their imagination
All sets come with a storage bucket.
Older Children: Age 8+
With the Multi Models range, Meccano offers a series of models based on a set of metal parts that are assembled using nuts and bolts. Children can build several detailed models with one set, as well as express their creative imagination by building unique models of limitless designs!
Models include, ,depending on the set many mechanical parts such as cogs, springs, gear boxes, motors and many more that introduce children to the principles of mechanics by giving them the opportunity to build models with movable parts.
With the Design collection, Meccano offers streamlined, futuristic vehicles for those who appreciate stylish lines and elegant contours. The bodywork cleverly hides the bolts without changing the nature of the Meccano building principles.
